TESTIMONIALS

“Lisa is a genius at what she does. Parents can talk to their kids until they are blue in the face about what they think is best for them. But there is nothing better for a young person than to be heard and understood by a mentor. Lisa helps young adults sift through their complex feelings, fears, wants and desires to come up with a practical and inspired plan of action. She has helped take away so much stress in our family as we navigate this all-important new transition point.” — Dahn Ballard, Actor/Writer/Parent

“This service has provided the tools and methods to bring about healthy growth, change and respect. Lisa’s guidance and advice has helped me as a parent and has also helped my daughter transition into adulthood and other areas of her life. Our lives have improved through these series of meetings. Family discussions have improved. This is a lifelong process where we all have become better communicators. We have a better relationship now and are growing even closer.” — Bob Day, Aeronautical Engineer/Parent

“Ms. Lisa taught me the importance of keeping all of your options open with any decision. She reopened my mind to the idea of attending college and because of that, I'm working on my applications now. Whether I choose to go to college or not, I have created a series of options to choose from — and Ms. Lisa taught me that. Now I'm looking forward to my future ahead of me without the fear of adulting and making big decisions for myself. The tools that I've learned from my weekly sessions with her helped me combat my anxieties surrounding being an adult and my own person.” — Zion Ballard Balewa, High School Senior

When I started seeing Lisa I was confused about my plans and had difficulty deciding where to go next. She introduced me to community resources that helped me move forward and gain confidence in my ability to make decisions. After a year of consistent meetings, I am making decisions that are authentic to how I see myself as I make the transition into adulthood. This has helped me to view the process as less daunting and overwhelming. - Elle Day - College Student

About Me

  • I’m Lisa LaMattina, Child & Family Dynamic Mentor

I know you care deeply for your child and you’ve likely done everything you can to foster their self-motivation to make choices that serve their growth and success in adulthood. Yet, so many parents like you find themselves at a loss when their teen appears directionless and maybe even indifferent about their future.

What gives? The truth is - this is a massive moment for both your family and your young adult. You are about to let go and they are about to step outside their comfort zone.

As a parent who has been there - my adult son lacked the tools to find his passion, gain self-sufficiency, and successfully move onto the next phase of life - I was able to use my background in psychology to essentially re-parent him (and myself) so that he could truly transform and thrive as an adult.

In that process, I found my own passion for assisting young people and their families. And after thousands of hours working with both, I recognized that there was a gaping hole in the system to help young adults transition from high school and beyond.

So, I decided to fill that chasm with PATH TO LAUNCH - a therapeutic approach that is designed to both optimize the family dynamic and activate your child’s motivation.

You don’t have to do it alone!

  • I work with you and your young adult to help examine what is keeping you stuck in the relationship that you are currently engaged in with one another. And then help you to develop a plan that will move you forward into a more adult relationship.

By adjusting the way that you relate to your child while they move through the developmental stages of life, you support their maturing brain development and your own emotional changes that happen as a parent. This will help the child to feel supported in taking the next steps into adulthood and help you let go when the time comes.

This is what leads to inspiring and motivating your child to confidently step into their future.
